The Minister of Labour of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H. E. Faizullah Zaki, has paid an official visit to the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin on 2 October 2017, on the occasion of the inauguration of the first edition of the course A9010461 – Promotion of Youth Employment in Fragile Settings.
H. E. Zaki has participated in a Round Table on the topic: Where do we stand now in the promotion of youth employment in situations of fragility and disaster? What does fragility mean in different contexts? together with Mr Khair M Niru, Director General Manpower and Labor Affairs Regulations, with Mr Valter Nebuloni, Head of the Youth Employment Programme, ILO, and Mr Donato Kiniger-Passigli, Head of the Fragile States and Disaster Response Group, ILO.
During his visit, H. E. Zaki and his colleagues Mr Niru, Mr Nasrullah Arsalai (Director General of the Council of Ministers Secretariat) and Mr Taimoor Eshaq Zai (Chief Executive Office of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan) have had the chance to meet with the Deputy Director of ITCILO, Mr Giuseppe Casale; with the Director of the Training Department of ITCILO, Mr Andreas Klemmer, and the manager of the Project “Promoting Rural Youth Employment in Afghanistan through Entrepreneurship Education and Vocational Training”, Mr Joel Alcocer, to discuss further steps in the implementation of the second phase of the project and explore possible avenues for further cooperation.
