Mr. Abdul Hameed AKBAR, National Labor Development Advisor, Policy & Strategy at the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) of Afghanistan, recently participated to the training course on “Macroeconomic policies, jobs and inclusive growth” which took place in Turin from 14 to 18 November 2016.

The course aimed at building capacities among government officials, other policy makers, practitioners and technical experts on how to better integrate employment concerns into wider economic policies by exposing participants to an appropriate combination of theoretical insights and hands-on experiences. Attention was given to knowledge-sharing and peer exchanges among representatives of different agencies and institutions in charge of economic, employment and labour market policies.

The participation of Mr. Abdul Akbar to attend the course was supported with funds from the project “Promoting rural youth employment in Afghanistan” as part of the project’s global component, aimed at supporting capacity-building activities for policy planners and facilitators.
