Writers’ workshop to develop the content of the “One year training programme on Employment policies: Moving from fragility to resilience – tailored for Afghanistan”

On 24 and 25 of October the ITCILO hosted a Writers’ Workshop in Turin to develop the materials for a One-year training programme for officials of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) of Afghanistan, as well as representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations.

The course aims at building capacities among government officials, social partners and other relevant stakeholders on the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective National Employment Policies and other related subjects.

By the end of the training programme, participants will have acquired knowledge of key concepts related to employment policy with emphasis in situations of fragility as well as the capacity to actively participate in processes of formulating gender-sensitive employment policies; to implement employment policies through action planning; to advocate and coordinate the integration of employment policies with development interventions.

Participants to the workshop included a delegation from the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute of India, one of the implementing partners of the Project.
